Dr. Rivera is a licensed psychologist,  Florida Qualified Supervisor, and holds the Master Addiction Credential (MAC). She has over 20 years of clinical experience working with individuals in psychotherapy and conducting psychological assessment.  She is a practioner-scholar and values the practical application of scholarly knowledge.  Dr. Rivera has published multiple peer reviewed articles and conducted presentations on the clinical utility of psychological assessment, and was awarded the Martin Mayman award from the Society for Personality Assessment in 2010 for distinguished contribution to the literature.
